James Cameron's Expedition
James Cameron designed a submarine to travel to Challenger Deep. His sub was called the Deep Sea Challenger.
His journey to Challenger Deep started on March 26, 2012. It took him 2 hours to get down to Challenger Deep, 6 hours looking around and 1 hour to get back to the surface. It was faster getting back as the speed of the sub was greater.
He found two possible life forms: a gelatinous blob and a dark scar five feet long, which may have been the home a worm of some kind.
